What Violin Size Do I Need?
Unlike pianos, there are a range of violin sizes to suit children of any age. But what violin size do you need? And what violin sizes are available? Violin Sizes The smallest violin size you will see is a 1/32, ranging through 1/16, 1/8, ¼, ½, ¾, 4/4 or full size. Occasionally you will see a 1/10th or even a 7/8th for small adults.

If they can comfortably curl their fingers around the end of the scroll, the violin is not too big. Here is a table of sizes and the approximate ages that each violin size is suitable for.
